Review: MISTLETOE & MARGARITAS by Shannon Stacey

Merry Christmas!  Thought I would sneak another Christmas novella in for you to check out and read while waiting for Santa to come tonight! This was a great Christmas novella. It made me laugh, it made me cry. I got so swept up in it I was surprised how quickly I read through it. Anyone that has lost a loved one knows that Christmas is a hard time.

MMIn this story Claire lost her husband, Brendan, two years ago in a car accident. Justin  was Brendan’s best friend and has been in love with Claire since the day he met her at a party (but Brendan got to her first). Claire never knew this either. Well, now Claire is ready to move on with her personal life and start dating. Justin isn’t sure she is ready for that, but mostly because he doesn’t want her with someone else. He also isn’t ready to announce his feelings for her as he feels he will be betraying Brendan if he does.

I enjoyed watching these friends fall in love and thought it was neat how connected both Claire and Justin remained with Brendan’s family. It was so sad and sweet when Brendan’s mom found Justin at the cemetery talking to him about Claire. Mistletoe & Margaritas is a very sweet, emotional story. This is a great story to read anytime of the year, but especially at Christmastime.
