Review: THE LIE by Ashley Fontaine

I enjoyed The Lie by Ashley Fontainne although I am not typically a paranormal fan.  The author makes her characters very real and from her opening to the closing I was intrigued by where the story was taking me.

18651689Karmen is a very likable and believable character and she takes the reader along with her on the journey to discovering whether her writing is truly hers or the result of something evil at work.  I must say that usually I am pretty good at figuring out the mystery side of a story and I am not surprised by the ending.  However, this book took me completely by surprise in terms of the twists and turns and I enjoyed the ride.

When the book begins with what appears to be three seemly unrelated story lines, I wondered how they would come together. Ashley does a nice job of drawing the reader in with each story and then cleverly weaving them together. I would recommend this book to mystery lovers and even if you aren’t typically a paranormal fan I think you will enjoy this one.
