Cheating Justice: This second book in the Justice Team series finds the main character, Mitch Monroe, as another rogue FBI agent who is dodging the law for something he did in the heat of the moment.  As the story progresses we find that his temper often gets him into trouble but the cool headed and practical agent, Caroline Foster, keeps him on the straight and narrow when she can.

These two have a history that did not end happily for Caroline so as she is exposed to Mitch again she proceeds with caution. However, she cannot deny her attraction to him and finds herself tangled in the web of lies and deceit that have ensnared him as he tries to find justice for the death of a friend of his, accused of being a traitor. As Mitch and Caroline unravel the mystery surrounding Tommy’s death, they find themselves dodging the law while trying to expose unscrupulous political officials.  Their attraction for each other puts them in some awkward situations with Brice, whom they have enlisted to help them with the more technical matters surrounding the case.

It is a good read but did leave some loose ends I thought with regard to a couple of the situations surrounding Kemp’s murder and the attack on Caroline. However, it does not have much impact on the central theme and has no significance to the outcome of the story. The characters are believable if not always likeable but in the end I think they work together. A good romantic suspense that is worth the time it takes to read it.

Loved reading this book, but it kept me up late…..smile. I just couldn’t put it down. Thanks for another great story in the Justice Series. I would love to have a print copy.
I had a person blame me once that thought I went over his head to get permission to do something. In truth, the person I went to was a friend and I was only getting his opinion. You have to choose which wrongs to battle and which just to move on.

Most recently, I was blamed for eating the last of the ice cream! 🙂 I can neither confirm nor deny that allegation!
Thanks for the chance to win a print copy of Stealing Justice.

My hubby and I only in late middle age, but our memories are starting to slip a little. He’s always accusing me of forgetting to turn out lights or close the doggie door at night (so skunks, ‘coons or ‘possums can’t get in the house). I end up making the rounds again, double checking everything is off or closed. 🙂 jdh2690@gmail.com

I was blamed for bringing alcohol to school, when really it was a guy who I had a crush on…we both ended up getting suspended…but I was blamed as the one who brought it in!
