Review: THE MARSHAL by Adrienne Giordano

The Marshal by Adrienne Giordano is the 3rd in the series that features lawyers, detectives and some great characters.  I have enjoyed these books and The Marshal did not disappoint.  Brent and Jenna are characters we met in The Defender and this book draws out the relationship that was alluded to in the previous book.

Brent has searched for 23 years to find his mother’s killer and private detective Jenna Hayward is just the one to help him find that person.  In spite of her beauty queen looks, she is smart and it doesn’t hurt that in her line of work, that psychology degree comes in handy, especially when dealing with Brent’s suppressed emotions.

My favorite part of Adrienne’s stories is how she takes us inside the characters’ heads.  What they are thinking but don’t say helps us laugh, love and live the plot.  I also enjoy the laughs she provides with such character titles as “Killer Cupcake” and “Marshall Hottie”.  She lightens the mood when things get dicey and keep the reader engaged in the story.

I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of romantic suspense. I only hope Adrienne will have a follow up to this book as I truly enjoy seeing some of the characters in each book and following their stories.
