In Unwrapping Her Perfect Match by Kat Latham, Gwen Chambers finds herself at a charity auction that the London Legends are holding. She’s just there to bid on her sister’s boyfriend so no one else will but then she meets John Sheldon. John talks her into buying him and the two hit it off. Then John gets a career offer he can’t refuse but does that mean the end of him and Gwen?
This is the second book that I have read in this series and I absolutely love it!! The characters are well developed, with hot chemistry, and great story lines. Plus, Latham writers with the non – sports loving readers in mind and includes a handy glossary for those of us who know nothing about rugby.
The story line in this novella is especially touching. John gets injured in a game just before his daughter from France is set to arrive to celebrate Christmas with him. His daughter has never visited him before and John doesn’t want his injury to ruin her Christmas. Gwen agrees to help John out for a few days and in the process she ends up helping to bring the father and daughter closer together.
The only bad thing about this book is that it’s a novella. I definitely would have enjoyed a full length book about this couple. Hopefully, Latham will have the couple appear in other books down the road.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out this series, grab your ereader and download one of the books! The books can be read as a stand alone, which is always a plus in a series. Meanwhile, I still need to catch up on the first two books in the series before the next one comes out sometime this Spring.

’Twas a week before Christmas, and at the auction house…
At six foot one, Gwen Chambers has felt like a giant her whole life. She’s a calm, capable nurse saving lives in a busy London hospital, but healthy men give her heart palpitations. When larger-than-life rugby player “Little” John Sheldon convinces her to bid on him in his team’s fundraising auction, she discovers how pleasurable heart palpitations can be.
A rugby player was stirring, with desire no one could douse…
John has wanted Gwen since he first saw her, but when he’s injured in a match just before Christmas he suddenly needs her too. Not only can the sexy nurse help him recover, but she might be able to help him look after his daughter—a shy ten-year-old who speaks only French.
But will it be a Happy Christmas for all, and for all a good night?
From decorating the Christmas tree to ice skating at the Tower of London, Gwen helps father and daughter open up and bond with each other—and she bonds right along with them. But when John’s agent calls with a life-changing offer, Gwen has to decide how far she’s willing to go for her perfect match. Will their first Noël also be their last?
