In Call On Me by Roni Loren, Oakley Easton is doing what a lot of single mom’s do: she has 2 jobs. By day she works for a charity but by night she is a phone sex operator. Oakley loathes her night job but her daughter is autistic and is enrolled in a private school that has helped her out so much. When the charity she works for decides to put on a benefit concert,.the director enlists the help of her friend Pike Ryland, drummer for the hard rock band, Darkfall. Oakley ends up being put in charge of the project and having to work closely with Pike. Despite telling herself that Pike isn’t the kind of man she wants, .the two start a hot affair. When Pike wants more and wants a commitment from Oakley, will she push him away or give Pike the family he’s always wanted?
Call On Me is the eighth book in the Loving on the Edge series. However, this can definitely be read as a stand alone. It takes a few moments to work out who is who among Pike’s friends but it doesn’t detract from the story at all. And oh my goodness! What a story it is! I started this book two nights ago and simply couldn’t put it down. I simply had to know what happened next in the story.
Pike and Oakley are such well written characters with so much depth. Loren could have totally gone the cliché Rockstar route with Pike but instead she made him down to Earth book boyfriend material. It’s hard not to love a guy who not only loves his dog but treats an autistic child as he would any other child. And when he calls Oakley “mama” you can hear him saying it in a sexy southern drawl.
This book should probably come with a warning about how hot it is. The characters do engage in some BDSM but it doesn’t feel forced. Instead it feels as if it’s just a loving couple exploring their sexuality. The scenes are very tastefully written and leave you swiping your finger across the screen to see what they will do next together.
Anyone who enjoys a really good, hot erotic romance with a well written story should read this book. If you are an Olivia Cunning fan, you have to read this book.

About the Book:
Author: Roni Loren
Release Date: July 7, 2015
Category: Erotic Romance
Oakley Easton wants two things: to be a good mom to her daughter and to ditch her less than ideal night job. Hooking up with bad boy drummer Pike Ryland? Not on the agenda. She needs a promotion. Not sex, tattoos and rock ’n’ roll.
Pike isn’t about to let Ms. Prim and Proper shut him down so easily, especially when he stumbles upon Oakley’s sexy night job. She’s only playing a role on those late night calls with strangers, but when he gets her on the line, all bets are off. He won’t stop until that sultry voice is calling his name for real.
But as they move from anonymous fantasies in the dark to the flesh-on-hot-flesh reality of the bedroom, the risk of falling in love becomes all too high. And the safe, quiet world that Oakley’s worked so hard to create is about to be exposed to the one person who could ruin it all.

Roni wrote her first romance novel at age fifteen when she discovered writing about boys was way easier than actually talking to them. Since then, her flirting skills haven’t improved, but she likes to think her storytelling ability has. Though she’ll forever be a New Orleans girl at heart, she now lives in Dallas with her husband and son.
If she’s not working on her latest sexy story, you can find her reading, watching reality television, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to rockstars, er, rock concerts. Yeah, that’s it. She is the National Bestselling Author of The Loving on the Edge series from Berkley Heat.
