Colleen Hoover has become one of my must buy authors. I don’t care what the book is about. Hoover could write a book about paint drying and it would be epic.
I thought I knew who my favorite hero was out of all of Colleen ‘s books. And then along came Ben Kessler. Ben is devastated by his mother’s suicide and commits a stupid act that leaves him haunted. Ben is confident, sexy, and his words to Fallon will have you equal parts swooning and crying. Not to mention Ben goes on a romance novel binge when he finds out Fallon loves reading them and he becomes determined to be better than any book boyfriend. Fallon and Ben even have a hilarious conversation about romance novels and refer to it as booksting (my new favorite word).
Fallon is an excellent heroine and counterpart to Ben. She is struggling with her confidence after the fire but she is determined to live her life on her own terms. She gives her heart completely over to Ben and even finds a way to forgive Ben when he tells her the truth about his past.
November 9 is a roller coaster emotional ride that will have you laughing out loud during one chapter and then ugly crying the next chapter. Hoover once again delivers with well developed characters that feel real. Her unique plot line makes this book stand out in the romance genre. Anyone who loves a good romance needs to read this book.
