Incognito by Adrienne Giordano is the sixth book in the Lucie Rizzo series. It can be read as a stand alone but is so much fun when you read it along with the series. Giordano treats us once again to an original mystery, a mob princess, wacky family, supportive but crazy friends, and a dog (of course), and a hot cop!

These books are so much fun. It’s hard to capture all of it in a review, but if you like cozy mysteries, give this one a read. You will fall in love with the series! Incognito kept me turning pages while laughing and having a grand old time with the characters. Giordano does such a spectacular job with the originality of her stories! I enjoy figuring out the mystery along with Lucie and the gang because it makes it much more of an adventure!

Along with the fun story and characters in Incognito, this is probably my favorite book with Tim and Lucie’s romance. Their flirting and quips with one another made me smile. They are such a fun couple and any detective that can put up with a mob boss daughter’s family is a keeper!

If you are looking for an entertaining read with crazy characters, an equally crazy adventure and love and family, give Incognito a read!

The hot small town sheriff and the superstar football player make for a great romantic couple in Craving Heat by Adrienne Giordano. If you have read the Steele Ridge series, you need to give The Kingstons a read. If you haven’t, well, this is the first book in the new series, so this one is for you, too. Giordano entertains her readers with another book filled with suspense, fun, and romance!

Maggie Kingston is the youngest sheriff in Steele Ridge history and feels like she constantly has to prove herself. She takes care of everyone in the county, but who will take care of her? Jayson Tucker is a professional football player looking to lay low for a bit while a potential scandal rocks his world.  He is is enjoying his time away from the big city and a lower pace to life. Maggie and Jayson are able to give each other exactly what the other one needs. Their chemistry is undeniable and Giordano does a great job of balancing out their romance with the rest of the story.

The conflict in the book is intriguing and I am always excited to watch Giordano unfold a mystery. There is a lot going on in Craving Heat and it keeps the reader interested and flipping pages knowing the story could take off in several directions. I couldn’t wait to get to the end yet didn’t want it to end. I always enjoy supporting characters and Reid and Grif from the Steele Ridge series show up in Craving Heat quite a bit, which is great. If you like romantic suspense, give Craving Heat a read. You will fall in love with the characters  and enjoy the story from beginning to end.

What an entertaining short story that is part of the Steele Ridge series! Enduring Love gives us a snapshot into Eddy and Joan Steele’s relationship. For those that have read the other books, this one answers the question of why Eddy has been a recluse for so many years and given up his family for the better part of 20 years. It’s a quick read and keeps you turning pages!

Reading this series has made me realize I want to be Joan Steele for my kids. She is one hard core mom who gives unconditional love to her family. She doesn’t let fear stop her from protecting her own, no matter the cost. She always stole the scenes in previous books and am so glad she has a story of her own.

We don’t know much about Eddy from the past books – just want his family mentioned or thought of him, so I was excited to read about him. My heart hurt for the family that missed out on him for so many years, yet it warmed when I learned the truth and how things ended. The beginning scene was absolutely priceless and I couldn’t have imagined a better story for Joan and Eddy. The authors nailed it with Enduring Love. Absolutely fantastic.

Review: DEFENDING JUSTICE by Misty Evans and Adrienne Giordano

Defending Justice by Misty Evans and Adrienne Giordano is the newest book of the Justice Team series, but can be read as a stand alone. Evans and Giordano are magical when they collaborate and the Justice Series is a must read for any romantic suspense fan. Each book has its own plot, new main characters, but past characters usually make an appearance!

Defending Justice is all about Jackie and Beck. They met a dozen years ago in college, had an amazingly hot spring break fling, and now defense attorney, Jackie, is trying to keep FBI agent, Beck, out of prison for murder. Quite the predicament they find themselves in. What I love about this story is how Evans and Giordano walk us through the process along with the characters. I always enjoy the mystery of solving a case, especially when a character is wrongly accused. The writing is so easy to read and it had me flipping pages almost faster than I could read them.

The romance between Jackie and Beck is sometimes a little awkward given their current attorney-client relationship, but was one that was rekindling and I couldn’t wait until the case was over. Beck was much more in tune with himself and his feelings while Jackie struggled to be tough all the time – it was a role reversal in my opinion and a fresh change from typical romance books. The ending scenes were some of my favorite because they happened once the case was over and just tied the book up nicely.

If you are looking for an entertaining romantic suspense, give Defending Justice a read. You will be thoroughly entertained from beginning to end!

Review: DOG COLLAR CUISINE by Adrienne Giordano

Another fun mystery with Lucie and the gang! This time we get to see O’Hottie get involved in the screwball investigations too. Dog Collar Cuisine by Adrienne Giordano is the 5th book in the series and they just keep getting better. I will admit sometimes I get frustrated with Lucie and her decisions but they always end up entertaining me and I am usually laughing or smiling as the story unfolds. Everything always works out in the end. In Dog Collar Cuisine I started to understand Lucie a little more.

Lucie is accused of stealing and blackmailing one of her clients. Of course she is not going to just wait around and let the police figure out who stole the recipe from Antoine, the famous chef. She is going to find out on her own to clear her own name. This time she pulls in her family, friends, and detective boyfriend, Tim. It is a hoot!

Giordano does a fantastic job with this series. Each story is hilariously original and will have you literally laughing out loud. She sprinkles in some heartfelt family moments along with fun romance. The characters in this series are unique, quirky and downright lovable.

If you are looking for an entertaining, witty, mystery, give Dog Collar Cuisine a read! While it is part of a series, each book has its own plot/mystery and is solved in one book.
