Happy sigh. Love a Little Sideways by Shannon Stacey is another fun episode featuring the Kowalski family. I wish this series was made into a sitcom or miniseries type movie because they are so entertaining. I am not sure how Shannon can keep all the Kowalski’s straight but she does a good job of reminding us readers in each book. I need that even though I have read them all from the beginning, so thank you, Shannon.
In Love a Little Sideways we get to follow Liz Kowalski’s life for a little while. She has lived in New Mexico for most of the series so we don’t know much about her. Liz has decided it is time to start over. Leaving a guy that was no good for her and just about all her belongings in New Mexico, Liz has decided to come home to Whitford and be closer to her family. That also puts her closer to Police Chief Drew Miller, best friend of her older brother Mitch, newly divorced and the guy she hooked up with on Mitch’s wedding night.
It’s no secret that I love Shannon Stacey‘s books and Christmas novellas. Snowbound with the CEO is both. It is a fun, sexy, workplace romance and if you like that type of story, you should check this one out. Snowbound with the CEO takes place in the span of a couple of weeks and moves along at a great pace to go with that time frame.
Adrian and Rachel are boss and assistant and have known each other for about a year and a half, so the history and relationship is already there, which makes it easier for me to be okay with them becoming intimate so soon into the story. The two have been attracted to each other for some time but did not want to act on it because they work so well together in the business world and didn’t want to risk their jobs.
Updated – Congratulations to Danielle B! Random.org chose her comment as the winner for a digital set of The Devlin Group! Thank you to all those who participated! For the rest of you, go out and read these books because I hear Shannon is working on the fourth one in the series! Here is a little something she shared on her blog titled “What I’m Working on Today” in February.
I love romantic suspense. If I absolutely had to chose, I would say that it is my favorite romance genre. Do you guys know that Shannon Stacey writes really good romantic suspense books? She may be well known for her Kowalski Family contemporary romance books, but her romantic suspense series about The Devlin Group is pretty darn good. Today, Shannon is giving away one digital set of all three Devlin Group books to one lucky commenter today!
The Devlin Group

If you have followed my blog much you know that I really like contemporary romance books by Shannon Stacey. I often wonder how Shannon can continue to write books in a series and not have them sound the same. Even though the characters are familiar I never feel like I am reading the same story with a different character.
Merry Christmas! Thought I would sneak another Christmas novella in for you to check out and read while waiting for Santa to come tonight! This was a great Christmas novella. It made me laugh, it made me cry. I got so swept up in it I was surprised how quickly I read through it. Anyone that has lost a loved one knows that Christmas is a hard time.
In this story Claire lost her husband, Brendan, two years ago in a car accident. Justin was Brendan’s best friend and has been in love with Claire since the day he met her at a party (but Brendan got to her first). Claire never knew this either. Well, now Claire is ready to move on with her personal life and start dating. Justin isn’t sure she is ready for that, but mostly because he doesn’t want her with someone else. He also isn’t ready to announce his feelings for her as he feels he will be betraying Brendan if he does. Continue reading
