Vowing Love by Adrienne Giordano is simply icing on a well written cake that is the Steele Ridge series. While you could read this book on its own, it is much better after you read Living Fast first. That is the books where Reid and Brynne meet and fall in love.

In Vowing Love, we get to catch up with Reid and Brynne to see how things are going for their wedding. Of course, when it comes to the Steele family, there is never a dull moment. Danger seems to follow Reid, but luckily he usually knows how to handle it. He is one of my favorite of the series!

Giordano does a fantastic job coming up with a great plot for Vowing Love. The pace of the book was smooth and on point, with nothing forced, but just unfolding so naturally that all I could do was turn pages and hang on for the ride. We are also treated to the ever-present enjoyable dialogue, sarcasm, and watching friends and family come together.

If you are looking for a short, entertaining romantic suspense, give Vowing Love a try. It has just the right amount of romance, drama, and action!

Review: STRIKING EDGE by Kelsey Browning

Title: Striking Edge (The Kingstons, #4)

Striking Edge by Kelsey Browning is a unique and intriguing story that will have you turning pages from beginning to end. As always, Browning writes fantastic characters and an interesting plot that makes you feel as those you are part of the story!

Shep Kingston is asked to guide several celebrities on a mountain trek as part of a reality show. As much as he loves being in nature, he isn’t a fan of people. Joss Wynter is one of the participant’s of the show and is hoping to get her life back after a tragedy has struck and she finds herself under scrutiny from her fans.

As Striking Edge unfolds, there are several twists and turns that are so unpredictable and just when I thought things couldn’t get crazier they did. I wanted the story to end for Shep and Joss quickly. Browning really put them through the ringer!

Mixed in with all the obstacles of what Joss and Shep went through we saw moments of their romance budding and how each of them were healing from their pasts bit by bit. I really enjoyed the honest and raw moments between these two characters. While it wasn’t the smooth romance of many novels I have read, it was Joss and Shep’s individual romance that could only be theirs and that was so cool.

If you are looking for a romantic suspense story that is outside of the ordinary but also captivating give Striking Edge a read.

Tricked by Rebecca Zanetti is my first experience int he Dark Protectors series and boy am I ready to start at the beginning! Imagine my joyous surprise when I learned there are a lot of books in this series! What fun I am going to have reading them!

I wasn’t sure what to expect since I am not a die-hard paranormal romance fan, which means I am pretty picky about what I read in this genre. Well, from the first page of Tricked, I was hooked. I loved Ronni’s toughness even on her deathbed and Jared’s willingness to do what he could to protect her. I wasn’t sure how the two of them would really connect, but holy cow! They have chemistry. They are amazing together. It would be awesome to read a full length novel about the two of them.

Zanetti’s writing was wonderful. I felt that I hung on each word and couldn’t wait to learn the world she had created. What creatures exist? What vampires can and cannot do? And all those other fun things that happen in a paranormal world. The story unfolded at a good pace for a novella and I was intrigued with every page.

If you are looking for a quick paranormal romance that is full of heat and suspense, give Tricked a read!

Holy smokes! I am am so in love with Promise Me You by Marina Adair. The story was so unique and had me experiencing so many emotions and feelings while I was flipping pages as fast as I could. Adair writes a captivating romance between two people that couldn’t be in more different places in their lives. The icing on top was Mackenzie’s dog Muttley. It was just so good.

Hunter and Mackenzie have been friends for awhile. They wrote songs together and have the same love of the music industry. She has also been in love with Hunter forever. Unfortunately, when the story begins, he is going to marry someone else. Fast forward a few years and the two meet up again after not seeing each other. Hunter is expecting to pick up where they left off but little does he know that Mackenzie’s life is very different than it was before.

I really enjoyed Mackenzie’s personal journey as it was so outside of what I know. I can’t imagine being in her shoes. I found myself aching for her at times when she was frustrated and feeling defeated. I loved watching Hunter learn Mackenzie’s world and what he could do to support and help her.  Adair writes the romance and intimate scenes between the Hunter and Mackenzie so perfectly for the story and the characters.

If you are looking for a fantastic contemporary romance story to read, give Promise Me You a try. The writing is smooth, the story moves along at a great pace, the romance is sexy, and you will be left with so much hope and love.
